This is an edition of the book St Urbains Horseman personally signed by Mordecai Richler in red felt on the first page. The book was published by McClelland and Stewart in 1971 and is presumed a first Canadian edition although unstated. I think that the Canadian edition pre-dates the American as Richler was a Canadian novelist, but Im not sure - Wikipedia states the Canadian edition as being the first. It has its original dust jacket, which is unclipped with the original price of $7.95. The book has green boards and is in fine condition - very clean, almost looks unread. The dust jacket has a couple of minor edge tears at the spine but is very clean - the greyish ghosted background is part of the design. A solid copy that is signed by an important Canadian novelist - not common!
